How to Optimize Raw Material Proportioning for AAC Block Making Machine for Stable Quality
Many AAC production plant owners focus on the autoclave, cutting machine and turnover system of the AAC block making machine, while ignoring the fine control of raw material proportioning. Even high-standard AAC equipment cannot produce stable qualified aerated blocks if the raw material formula and feeding parameters are not matched well. Slight fluctuation of raw material activity will lead to uneven foaming, inconsistent block density, cracking or insufficient compressive strength, which brings troubles to factory delivery and market reputation.
The main raw materials of AAC blocks include silica sand or fly ash, quick lime, cement, gypsum and aluminum powder paste. Each material has its own activity characteristics. For example, the digestion speed of lime will change with storage time and ambient temperature; the fineness and mud content of silica sand also affect the slurry viscosity and expansion effect. The batching system of the AAC block making machine is designed for precise weighing and continuous stirring, so operators need to test raw material activity regularly instead of using a fixed formula all year round.
First, make small batch laboratory tests before formal feeding. Test the gas generation rate of aluminum powder paste, the digestion time of lime and the water demand of silica sand. Record the data and adjust the feeding weight of each material in the automatic batching system of the AAC block making machine. The target is to control the slurry foaming height and static curing time within a stable range. If the lime activity rises in hot weather, reduce the lime dosage appropriately to avoid overheating inside the mold and early collapse of the green cake. In cold seasons, extend the preheating time of the slurry to guarantee smooth gas generation.
Second, keep the stirring speed and stirring time of the AAC block making machine matched with the slurry state. Too short stirring will cause uneven distribution of aluminum powder, resulting in big holes inside blocks. Excessively long stirring consumes the gas generation capacity of aluminum powder in advance and reduces the expansion height. The mixing host of modern AAC production lines supports adjustable speed. It is recommended to set different stirring parameters according to seasonal formula adjustments, and keep the feeding sequence standardized: silica sand slurry, lime, cement, gypsum first, and add aluminum powder paste at the final stage.
Third, link proportioning parameters with the cutting and autoclaving process. After the green cake is formed, the cutting system of the AAC block making machine requires uniform hardness of the blank. If the formula leads to too fast or too slow hardening, chipping and edge damage will occur during cutting. Meanwhile, green cakes with unstable density will have different shrinkage rates under high temperature and pressure in the autoclave, increasing the risk of cracks. When adjusting the formula, you need to track the finished blocks after autoclaving, check compressive strength, dry density and shrinkage value, and form a closed-loop adjustment record.
Fourth, maintain the batching and feeding accessories of the AAC block making machine regularly. Sensor deviation of weighing scales, sticky material inside the screw conveyor and residual hardened slurry in the mixing tank will break the accuracy of proportioning. Regular calibration of weighing sensors and cleaning of the mixing tank help the equipment execute the preset formula accurately. Good maintenance reduces human interference and keeps batch quality consistent.
In conclusion, the stable performance of an AAC block making machine relies not only on solid mechanical structure, but also on refined raw material proportion management. Combining raw material testing, parameter adjustment of the batching system, standardized stirring operation and finished product inspection, manufacturers can effectively reduce defective products, stabilize AAC block quality and build long-term trust with local construction buyers.
